Origin – Finca El Diviso, Huila, Colombia

Nestled high in the mountains of Pitalito, Huila, Finca El Diviso is one of Colombia’s most exciting specialty coffee farms. Led by Nestor Lasso, part of a new generation of producers, the farm has evolved from traditional coffee growing into a hub of innovation, experimentation, and quality-driven production.

At altitudes reaching 2,000 metres, the combination of rich volcanic soils, cool temperatures, and slow cherry maturation allows for greater sugar development and more complex flavour profiles. The farm itself is carefully managed with a focus on biodiversity, integrating coffee cultivation alongside native forest and natural water sources.

What truly sets El Diviso apart is its precision approach to processing. For this Geisha lot, only perfectly ripe cherries are selected before undergoing a carefully controlled hybrid fermentation process. By combining both aerobic and anaerobic stages, the producers are able to enhance sweetness, structure, and fruit intensity while maintaining the clean, elegant profile expected from a washed coffee.

This approach results in a cup that sits between tradition and innovation — retaining the floral, tea-like characteristics of Geisha, while introducing deeper fruit notes and a richer texture.

The result is a coffee that reflects not only the exceptional terroir of Huila, but also the skill, creativity, and forward-thinking mindset of one of Colombia’s most respected young producers.
